The 49ers signed Mason as an undrafted free agent Monday.
Analysis: Mason ran 280 times for 1,558 yards and 14 touchdowns during his first two seasons at Georgia Tech, but he failed to replicate that type of production in his final two campaigns. The 49ers are returning their top four backs from a year ago and drafted Ty Davis-Price in the third round, so Mason will likely have an uphill battle to make the roster.
