Josiah Deguara Finishes season as starter

Deguara was targeted 33 times and caught 25 passes for 245 yards and two touchdowns over 16 appearances in the 2021 season.

Analysis: Deguara played a bit role early in the season, but he moved up the depth chart when fellow tight end Robert Tonyan suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 8 and finished the campaign as the Packers' top tight end. He did not do a whole lot outside of two long scores, but he was taken in the third round just two years ago, so he's going to get more opportunities in 2022. Just how many remains to be seen, as Tonyan will be a free agent this offseason.

Josiah Deguara Gets loose late in loss

Deguara was targeted four times and caught three passes for 66 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 37-30 loss to the Lions.

Analysis: Deguara did nearly all his damage on a 62-yard catch and run in the fourth quarter of Sunday's contest, but when it was all said and done he tied his career high for catches in a game and set a new career best in the receiving yards department. He led Packers tight ends in snaps six times over the team's last seven games and will head into the postseason as the team's top option at his position.
