Allen completed 21 of 25 passes for 308 yards with five touchdowns and no interceptions during the Bills' 47-17 win over the Patriots in an AFC wild-card matchup Saturday night. He also rushed six times for 66 yards.
Analysis: Allen spearheaded an unforgettable offensive performance by the Bills, one in which the team set a new postseason record with seven touchdown drives in their first seven possessions. The fourth-year signal-caller capped off five of them with touchdown tosses to Dawson Knox (twice), Emmanuel Sanders, Gabriel Davis and Tommy Doyle, and he became the third player in the Super Bowl era with at least 150 passing yards and 50 rushing yards in a single half of a playoff game. Allen's 84% completion rate on the night also qualified as the highest by a quarterback with 25 or more attempts in a playoff game since Aaron Rodgers' 86.1% figure in a 2010 divisional-round game. With this momentous, confidence-building performance under his belt, Allen heads into the divisional round with an abundance of momentum as he and his teammates prepare to either visit the Chiefs or host the Bengals next weekend.
Josh Allen Overcomes errors in win
Allen completed 11 of 26 passes for 120 yards with no touchdowns and three interceptions in the Bills' 29-15 win over the Falcons on Sunday. He also rushed 15 times for 81 yards and two touchdowns and threw a two-point conversion pass.
Analysis: Allen's passing line tells the story of what an atrocious day through the air it was for the talented signal-caller, a surprising development given the relatively favorable matchup presented by the Falcons defense. However, as ugly as his performance was from a pure football perspective, it was a solid one from a fantasy standpoint thanks to his one- and four-yard touchdown rushes in the first quarter. Allen's passing yardage total was his lowest of the season and his third sub-200-yard effort of the campaign overall, and he'll certainly be aiming to go into the postseason on an exponentially better note when he faces the Jets in Week 18.
