MyCole Pruitt Closes season with 14 catches

Pruitt (ankle) recorded 14 catches for 145 yards and three touchdowns across 16 games in the 2021 season.

Analysis: Pruitt suffered a severe ankle injury in Week 16, which cut short his most productive season as a pro. His best performance came early in Week 2 against Seattle, when he tallied three receptions for 43 yards. However, even prior to suffering the ankle injury his production had slowed, as he had failed to record multiple receptions in each of his final eight games. Pruitt will hit free agency at the close of the season and is likely to serve a depth role regardless of where he lands for the 2022 campaign.

MyCole Pruitt Moves to injured reserve

Pruitt (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Monday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Analysis: Pruitt suffered a severe ankle injury Sunday against the Dolphins and was scheduled for surgery Monday, so it's no surprise he landed on injured reserve. Geoff Swaim and Anthony Firkser are the remaining tight ends on Tennessee's active roster, so the team is likely to add another tight end for depth in the near future with Pruitt out for at least three weeks, and likely the season.
