Jose Siri Sitting out Game 2

Siri is not in the lineup Wednesday for Game 2 of the AL Wild Card Series versus the Rangers.

Analysis: Siri had a rough Game 1 in his first action back from a hand injury, going 0-for-3 at the plate and making an error in the field. He'll begin this one on the bench as Manuel Margot slides over to center field and Josh Lowe handles right.

Jose Siri Makes roster, starting Game 1

Siri (had) is on the Rays' AL Wild Card Series roster and is starting in center field and batting eighth in Game 1 against the Rangers.

Analysis: Siri proved his readiness in taking batting practice Monday and will be back in action after missing about three weeks of action with a hairline fracture in his right hand. The 28-year-old slugged 25 home runs and stole 12 bases for Tampa Bay this season.
