Teoscar Hernandez Heading to Dodgers

Hernandez signed a one-year, $23.5 million contract with the Dodgers on Sunday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis: Hernandez spent the 2023 campaign with the Mariners on a one-year deal, and he'll land another one-year contract for 2024. He had multi-year offers from other teams but elected to join a competitor and should be a well-rounded contributor as part of the Dodgers' stellar lineup. The 31-year-old has averaged 24.5 home runs per season across the last six years, and he's slashed .262/.317/.484 during that time.

Teoscar Hernandez Goes deep in loss

Hernandez went 2-for-4 with solo homer, a walk, two RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's loss to the Rangers.

Analysis: Hernandez finally found some power with his bat, as Sunday's home run was his first since Sept. 5 and just his sixth extra-base hit this month. He now has six hits and five walks over his last five games and will look to continue swinging a hot bat over the final week of the season. For the year, Hernandez is slashing .264/.313/.449 with 26 home runs, 92 RBI, 69 runs and a 38:199 BB:K in 655 plate appearances.
