Rob Refsnyder Scores twice, steals bag
Refsnyder started in left field and went 1-for-4 with a walk, a stolen base, an RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Athletics.
Analysis: Refsnyder got the start against a left-hander, against whom he entered with a .912 OPS, which increased to .919 following the game. It was his third start (one against a right-hander) over the last four games, and he hit safely in all three (going 4-for-12 with two walks, four runs, two RBI). The steal was Refsnyder's seventh, a career-high for the outfielder.
Rob Refsnyder Making second straight start
Refsnyder will start in left field for a second straight game Sunday, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.
Analysis: Refsnyder started in left field Saturday while Masataka Yoshida served as the designated hitter, but the latter was removed from the game after getting hit by a pitch on the leg. X-rays came back negative, but Yoshida is being held out of Sunday's lineup, enabling Refsnyder to get into the lineup again. Refsnyder had a couple of hits, including a double, a walk and a stolen base (his fifth) Saturday.
