Eduardo Salazar Latches on with Dodgers
Salazar signed a minor-league contract with the Dodgers on Thursday.
Analysis: Salazar posted an 8.03 ERA in eight appearances for the Reds and a 6.65 ERA in 36 appearances in the minors in 2023. The Dodgers see something in him, though, which often can be a good sign. He figures to begin the 2024 season at Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Eduardo Salazar Elects free agency
Salazar elected to become a free agent Tuesday, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Analysis: Salazar made his major-league debut this past season at age 25 but was lit up for 11 earned runs over 12.1 innings of relief with the Reds. The right-hander will likely have to accept a minor-league deal in free agency.
