Colin Selby Opening again Sunday

Selby is listed as Pittsburgh's probable starting pitcher Sunday against the Yankees.

Analysis: Selby will serve as an opener for the fifth time this season, and he's allowed four earned runs with a 9:3 K:BB over six frames in that role. The rookie right-hander will likely only cover an inning or two before giving way to Andre Jackson, who is expected to work in bulk relief.

Colin Selby Opening Wednesday

Selby will start Wednesday's game against the Nationals, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Analysis: Selby's last outing as an opener came a week ago against Milwaukee, during which he surrendered three runs in just one inning. The 25-year-old holds an 8.64 ERA on the season through 16.2 frames, so the Pirates likely won't risk keeping Selby in for much longer than one inning.
