Michael Massey On bench Friday

Massey is not in the lineup Friday against the Yankees.

Analysis: Massey went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBI in Thursday's series finale against the Tigers, but he'll take a seat Friday with the Yankees throwing left-hander Carlos Rodon. Matt Duffy is starting at second base and batting seventh.

Michael Massey Hits two-run shot

Massey went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Thursday's loss against the Tigers.

Analysis: Massey jumped on a hanging sinker from Sawyer Gipson-Long in the top of the third inning and sent it into the stands in right field, putting the Royals up 3-0. He later added a single but was left stranded, giving him his sixth multi-hit game this month. The second baseman is now up to 15 home runs on the season, with five of them coming in September.
