Stowers (nose) was activated from the injured list Friday at Triple-A Norfolk, Steve Melewski of MASNSports.com reports.
Analysis: Stowers only wound up missing a couple of weeks because of a fractured nose. The 25-year-old outfielder has struggled in limited action this season at the major-league level but carries a .942 OPS with 18 homers and 51 RBI in 67 minor-league games.
Kyle Stowers Suffers fractured nose
Triple-A Norfolk placed Stowers on its 7-day injured list Wednesday due to a fractured nose, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Analysis: Stowers took a pitch to the face Tuesday in Norfolk's win over Worcester. Given the timing and severity of the injury, Stowers' season could very well be over. The 25-year-old outfielder went 2-for-30 (.067 average) between two different stints with the Orioles back in April and May, but he was sporting a respectable .849 OPS through 60 games this season with Norfolk.
