Snead has signed a minor-league contract with the Mariners, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports.
Analysis: Snead, 29, has posted a 5.20 ERA and 51:30 K:BB across 64 innings of relief work during his time in the majors over the last three seasons. The left-hander will probably report to Triple-A Tacoma at the start of the 2024 season.

Oakland outrighted Snead to Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday.
Analysis: Snead, 29, gave up seven runs -- six earned -- on 14 hits and six walks over 11.2 major-league innings this season and also held an ugly 7.59 ERA in 23 appearances at Triple-A. He is now off the Athletics' 40-man roster.
