Harris will start in center field and bat ninth Monday in Game 2 of the NLDS versus the Phillies.
Analysis: Harris batted sixth in Atlanta's Game 1 loss and will now plummet to the bottom of the batting order for the first time since Sept. 19. He was Atlanta's No. 9 hitter for much of the season, however, making 88 starts at that spot while making no more than 13 starts out of any other lineup spot. Harris batted .301/.334/.494 out of the nine hole during the regular season.
Michael Harris II Sitting Friday
Harris isn't starting Friday against the Nationals, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Analysis: Harris will get a breather Friday after Atlanta was able to clinch the best record in the majors with a win over the Cubs on Thursday. Forrest Wall is starting in center field and batting ninth.
