Bubba Thompson Back with Cincinnati
The Reds claimed Thompson off waivers from the Twins on Tuesday, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Thompson had been claimed by the Reds back in October before being dumped two months after that. He's now found his way back to Cincinnati as he continues his waivers merry-go-round. The speedy outfielder will compete for a reserve role.
Bubba Thompson Removed from 40-man roster
Thompson was designated for assignment by the Twins on Wednesday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Thompson was claimed off waivers by the Twins just last month, but his stay on the 40-man roster didn't last long. The 25-year-old speedster has slashed just .242/.286/.305 in 241 career major-league plate appearances.
