Logan Allen Latches on with D-backs
Allen signed a minor-league contract with the Diamondbacks on Tuesday and received an invitation to major-league spring training.
Analysis: Allen spent all of last season in Triple-A, where he posted a 5.77 ERA and 1.74 WHIP across 103 innings between the Rockies' and Mariners' affiliates. He'll have a chance to make the Diamondbacks' bullpen during spring training, but Allen will most likely begin 2024 with Triple-A Reno.
Logan Allen Let go by Colorado
Allen was released by the Rockies on Sunday, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.
Analysis: Allen joined the Rockies on a minor-league deal last August but didn't join the major-league club during his tenure with the organization. The 26-year-old posted a 7.20 ERA and 20.9 WHIP in 45 innings over 24 relief appearances at Triple-A Albuquerque to begin the year and will now attempt to seek out other opportunities.
